Traditional Thai Massage test
Slow, flowing, rhythmic. Smooth, gentle, firm. Relaxing, rejuvenating, revitalizing. This is all Traditional Thai Massage, recognized as an ancient, holistic therapy which promotes wellness and vitality by releasing blocked energy within the body and helping it to return to a state of balance, harmony, flexibility, and health.
The practitioner uses hands, forearms, elbows, knees and feet to create a dance of movement together with acupressure, gentle rocking and assisted yoga stretching on the recipient’s body to relieve muscle tension, loosen joints, stimulate circulation and relax the body.
The resulting effect is a uniquely relaxing yet energizing and highly effective treatment. Sessions are performed on a mattress on the floor with the client wearing loose, comfortable clothing.
Thai Massage helps with the maintenance of good health by removing blockages and allowing vital energy to flow freely. Thai Massage helps to improve the body’s circulation, musculoskeletal, nervous, respiratory, digestive, and immune systems, as well as the following:
- improves flexibility, range of movement, postural alignment and balance
- alleviates muscle pain and stiffness
- maintains muscle strength, prevents muscle atrophy
- reduces emotional and mental stress
- improves oxygen and nutrient flow and enhances skin tone
- assists in recovery from injuries and illnesses
Thai Massage can also provide therapeutic relief for a range of specific ailments such as tension headaches, neck and shoulder tension, back pain, joint pain, digestive disorders, menstruation problems, insomnia and other discomforts.
To receive the full effects and benefits of a Traditional Thai Massage, it is highly recommended that the recipient book a 1.5 or 2 hours session.
